(This may take a minute if there are a lot of photos in the series)
So, with the outside all buttoned up, we went inside to begin creating our new office space. We started by framing up a couple of walls for a little bathroom and a storage closet.
Then we laid out all of the lights, switches and receptacles and pulled the wiring.
Next we went and got a whole bunch of R-38 fiberglass insulation for the roof and some R-11 for the end walls....
....and started stuffing it in between the trusses. This R-38 is about a foot thick when it fluffs up so it stays where you put it....no staples or wire clips.
This thing really insulates well....it got so warm we had to open the windows! Drywall's next.
There's a lot of angles and cuts but it actually went together pretty quick.
Tape and texture's next.
After the sprayed texture is dry we prime and paint.
Now it's really starting to take shape. A nice laminate floor with matching wood baseboard and window trim, cool flush mount fluorescent lighting and a couple of ceiling fans to circulate the air.
Bam! Throw in some solid hickory office furniture, a few computers and a state of the art wide format plotter and it starts looking like a real office.
The work station with our new ten thousand dollar Oce printer/plotter....it prints directly from AutoCAD in the computer....black-line on white bond.
Lots of room to move around!
Can't forget "The Map"!! Ten years and over four thousand customers, to date!!
Well, it's been a fun project and the new office and equipment will allow us to maintain the highest level of service and product quality for our valued customers. When you call and talk to Dano this is most likely where I'll be!!
